Considered as one of the best pianists of his generation, Horia Maxim is a musician with a constant career, one of the most important references of Romanian artistic talent. The high level of his performances can be seen in his approach of a complex and vast repertoire both as soloist of the main Romanian orchestras (in more than 500 concerts) and also as a chamber music partner of important artists in recitals all over the world – Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain, Israel, Austria, Japan, Republic of Moldova and Romania.
Horia Maxim has been invited to perform in various international music festivals such as: George Enescu Festival (Bucharest, Romania), Europäische Wochen Festspiele (Passau, Germany) Nuova Consonanza (Rome, Italy), The Israel Festival (Jerusalem, Israel) and the International Week for the Contemporary Music (Bucharest, Romania). Among his CD recordings, there are also several first auditions. In addition, Horia Maxim took part in the recording of the “Youth without Youth” soundtrack, a movie produced and directed by Francis Ford Coppola in 2007.
Horia Maxim is also a founding member (2011) of Maxim Quartet.

In parallel with the soloist activity, Horia Maxim is enjoying a fruitful teaching career at the National University of Music Bucharest (since 1996). He is also often invited to support important Romanian and European educational projects.
